Fiesta del Vino de Burdeos / Bordeaux Wine Festival

Escribimos este post para contaros algo acerca de la fiesta más importante de la ciudad de Bordeaux, su Fiesta del Vino o Fête de le Vin. Esta fiesta se celebra en la ciudad todos los años pares, por lo que aquellos que visitéis Bordeux durante el año 2014 entre el 26 y el 29 de junio, tendréis la suerte de poder asistir, y por supuesto, todos aquellos universitarios que esten de Erasmus o pertenezcan a algún programa de intercambio.

Esta fiesta es un momento fantástico para conocer esta ciudad. La fiesta se organiza principalmente entorno al paseo marítimo, declarado Patrimonio Mundial de la Unesco, y donde podrás encontrar un ambiente festivo donde compartir cultura, gastronomía y vino junto a su más de medio millón de personas que la visitan cada dos años.

El gran protagonista de estas fiestas, como no, es el vino de Burdeos. En la Place des Quinconques, se levantan 8 pabellones (SAINT-EMILION – FRONSAC– POMEROL, MEDOC & GRAVES, BLANCS SECS & ROSES DE BORDEAUX, BORDEAUX - BORDEAUX SUPERIEUR, SWEET DE BORDEAUX, VINS D’AQUITAINE, LES GRANDES MARQUES DES MAISONS DE NEGOCE, LES COTES A BORDEAUX) en los que puedes descubrir las 57 denominaciones de origen de los vinos de Burdeos y las 23 de la región de Aquitania.

En torno a esta fiesta se elabora cada año un programa que engloba fuegos artificiales, espectáculos, catas, visitas a châteaux, conciertos, excursiones etc...

Una de las ofertas más atractivas de estas fiestas son los pases de degustación donde por el precio módico de 15 euros en pre-venta y 18 euros en la misma plaza, podrás adquirir 13 tikets de degustación y una bolsita para tu copa así como acceso a algunos beneficios VIP. Con esos tikets podrás degustar algunos de los vinos de burdeos con algunas de las joyas culinarias de la zona (magrets y foie gras del Périgord, quesos Ossau-Iraty, ostras de Arcachón, cèpes del Périgord (setas), pastel vasco, Jamón de Bayona, quesos de Guyana y Gascoña…) rodeado de un ambiente inmejorable, ya que la ciudad así como su fiesta respira un ambiente alegre y lleno de gente joven.

Durante las fiestas también se organizan una serie de unos cinco conciertos de artistas internacionales (uno cada noche) en La Explanade de Quisconces así como un espectáculo de imagen y sonido que da comienzo a las 23:00 horas y donde se reflejan en la Plaza de la Bolsa impresionantes proyecciones.

Un momento mágico de estas fiestas y que no se pierden ni jóvenes ni mayores son los fuegos artificiales lanzados cada noche a las 23:30 desde el río Garona y que pueden observarse desde el Puerto de la Luna. Todos los años hay un país o una ciudad invitada a las fiestas (en el 2014 será la ciudad de Los Ángeles).

Por otra parte, la oferta culinaria existente en las fiestas a modo de terrazas, puestos y stands de productos regionales, no tiene precio. Así que...ya solo nos queda esperar a veros en la Fête de le Vin el año que viene. Una gran excusa para comer, beber, conocer Bordeaux y vivir un gran comienzo de verano en este fantástico ambiente.

 Bordeaux Wine Festival

We are writing this post to tell you something about the most important festival of the city of Bordeaux, the Wine Festival or Fête le Vin. This festival is held in the city every even year, so those you visit Bordeux during the year 2014 between 26 and 29 June, will have the good fortune to attend, and of course, all those who are in Erasmus university or belong to an exchange program.

This fète le vin is a fantastic time to visit this city. The festival is organized mainly around the waterfront, World Heritage of Unesco, and where you can find a festive atmosphere to share culture, cuisine and wine by over half a million people visit it every two years.
The main attraction of these festivals is the wine of Bordeaux. In the Place des Quinconques, stand up 8 halls (SAINT-EMILION - FRONSAC-POMEROL, Médoc & GRAVES, BLANCS SECS & ROSES OF BORDEAUX, BORDEAUX - BORDEAUX SUPERIEUR SWEET OF BORDEAUX, VINS D'AQUITAINE, GREAT LES MAISONS DES MARQUES DE NEGOCE, Les Côtes A BORDEAUX) where you can discover the 57 appellations of Bordeaux and the 23 in the region of Aquitaine.

Around this festival is produced each year a program that includes fireworks, shows, tastings, visits to châteaux, concerts, tours etc ...

One of the most attractive of these festivals are the tasting passes where for the modest price of 15 euros in pre-sales and 18 euros in the same place, you can buy 13 tikets tasting and a bag for your drink and access to some VIP benefits. With these tikets can taste some of the wines of Bordeaux with some of the culinary gems of the area (duck breast and foie gras from Périgord, Ossau-Iraty cheese, oysters from Arcachon, cèpes of Périgord (mushrooms), Gateau Basque, Bayonne ham , Guyana and Gascony cheeses ...) surrounded by an excellent atmosphere, as the city and its party atmosphere is cheerful and full of young people.

During the festival also organized a series of five concerts by international artists (one each night) at The Explanade of Quisconces well as a show of image and sound that starts at 23:00 hours and which are reflected in the Square Bag breathtaking projections.

A magical moment of the holidays and not lose neither young nor older are launched fireworks every night at 23:30 from the river Garonne and may be seen from the Port of the Moon. Every year there is a country or a city invited to parties (in 2014 will be the city of Los Angeles).

Moreover, there is a superb culinary offering, on terraces, stands and stalls of local produce. So ... now we only wait to see you at the Fête le Vin next year. A great excuse to eat, drink, visit Bordeaux and live a great start to summer in this fantastic environment.

SOBRE BORDEAUX

Para aquellos que aún estén indecisos acerca de si viajar o no a Bordeaux o simplemente para aquellos que quieran saber algo más acerca de esta ciudad, dejamos este post con una recopilación informal de las cosas que a priori puede ofrecernos.

Bordeaux es una ciudad portuaria situada al sur oeste de Francia en la región francesa de Aquitania de la que es capital. la ciudad cuenta con unos 239.157 habitantes. No obstante, la ciudad es la principal de un conjunto urbano que abarca otras muchas poblaciones y que amplía enormemente las posibilidades de ocio y la variedad de actividades que hacer en esta ciudad.

Uno de los rasgos más importantes de la ciudad es su amplia tradición viti-vinícola. Bordeaux está íntimamente ligada al vino y sus viñedos lo que aporta a cualquier visitante o viajero una amplia oferta de turismo enológico. No hablamos de cualquier vino ya que en esta región se elaboran algunos de los mejores vinos del mundo.

Bordeaux está considerada la quinta ciudad de Francia en importancia, prueba de ello es su exuberante arquitectura que no deja indiferente a nadie. El Puerto de la Luna ha sido declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco (con ese nombre, lo del "premio se le veía venir").

La ciudad durante largo tiempo fue denominada la bella durmiente por la apatía que mostraba su conjunto monumental. Actualmente esta circunstancia a cambiado y Bordeaux es una ciudad en auge que muestra una imagen de ciudad viva y alegre cuyos monumentos y centro urbano han sido puestos en valor.

La mayoría de los visitantes coinciden en el ambiente animado y distendido de la ciudad. Aquí puedes encontrar ocio a cualquier hora a la vez que tranquilidad. Sus calles suelen mostrar un ambiente alegre y animado a lo que también contribuye el paisaje urbano repleto de jardines y flores (lluvia mediante).

A ese ambiente contribuye de forma significativa el carácter universitario de esta ciudad, uno de los centros universitarios más importantes de Francia y el de mayor importancia en la zona tras Toulouse. 

Las fiestas de universitarios extranjeros suelen organizarse en pisos y casas privadas lo que no es obstáculo a que esta ciudad sea un muy buen sitio para correrse una fiesta (también existe ocio nocturno por sus calles). Aún así no debemos olvidar que el horario de los locales Bordelenses nocturnos no es el mismo que el de otros países como España. Pero si eres español, no te preocupes, seguro que encuentras un sitio para tomarte unas cuantas más.

En cuanto al turismo para parejas o para hacer un plan más tranquilo, los locales de Bordeaux ofrencen una amplia oferta. Puedes echar el día discutiendo en un café o en un pub disfrutando de esta ciudad y de su vino. Para los que como yo estén sentados en una habitación delante del ordenador, ¿no tiene pinta de estarse mejor en esta placita?

En cuanto a los precios, depende del país o la ciudad de la que vengais pero en general Bordeux no es más cara que el resto de ciudades de Francia. Quizás para los españoles os resulte algo caro tomar un café en la calle o pegaros una comilona, pero nada que países como finlandia o Austria no puedan superar con creces.

En cuanto al transporte, Bordeaux está suficientemente equipada, tanto por autobuses como por sus líneas de tranvía, muy utilizadas en la ciudad. Además el precio de los bonos es bastante barato, ronda los 16 euros mensuales. Hay líneas nocturnas de bus para los que les guste acostarse tardecito.

La oferta y las cosas que podéis visitar dentro de Bordeux las iremos relatando poco a poco en este blog, no las pondremos todas aquí y ahora porque os voy a aturullar de información. Lo que sí pondré es una lista de sitios emblemáticos que visitar, sin entrar en detalles:

Plaza de la Bourse, Rue Ste Catherine, Plaza de la Bolsa, Plaza de Quinconces, Barrio antiguo de Burdeos Torre Pei-Berland, jardín público, Puente de Piedra,  Plaza de la Victoria, Museo de Aquitania, Iglesia Saint Michel, La Grosse Cloche, Pasarela de madera, la Gran Campana, Casa del Vino, Puerta de Bourgogne, Embarcaderos de Burdeos, Estación de trenes, Monumento a los Girondins, Torre Saint Michel, Fuente de Trois Graces, Puerto de la Luna, Plaza Gambeta, Barrio Saint Michael,  Ayuntamiento, Catedral de Pey Berland, Puerta Dijeaux, Calle Tour de Pin, Puerta Cailhau, Catedral de San Andrés...(Bueno, ya teneis aquí para empezar...)

La plaza que veréis en muchs sitios de información turistica de Bordeaux es la Plaza de Bourse, que la verdad, en una ciudad de 200.000 habitantes, llama la atención. Aquí os dejo una de las mil fotos que existen por la red de esta plaza.

Por si todo esto fuera poco, el entorno de Bordeaux como ya os he comentado, ofrece una gama amplísima de posibilidades, de las que destacamos, por aclamación popular estas tres ineludibles. Si alguien cree que deberíamos incluir alguna más, que nos lo haga saber!!!

• Saint Emilion
• Duna de Pyla 

Y bueno, con esto ya terminamos este post que espero que os sea de utilidad. Lógicamente quedan muchas cosas por describir de esta ciudad pero espero que lo que hemos recogidos acerque un poquito más a ella y os de el "empujoncito" para plantaros aquí. He hablado con mucha gente que no solo la ha visitado sino que también ha vivido allí y, sinceramente, aun no he encontrado a quien no quiera volver.

For those who are still undecided about whether or not to travel to Bordeaux or simply for those who want to know more about this city, we write this post with a casual collection of things that a priori can offer Bordeaux.

Bordeaux is a port city located south west of France in the Aquitaine region of France which is capital. The city has about 239,157 habitants. However, the city is the most important part of an urban area with many other towns and,   it greatly expands the possibilities of entertainment and variety of activities to do in this city.

One of the most important features of the city is its long tradition in wine. Bordeaux is closely linked to wine and vineyards which provides any visitor or traveler a wide range of wine tourism. We are not talking about any wine, because in this region produces some of the best wines in the world.

Bordeaux is considered the fifth largest city in France, in importance, the proof is its exuberant architecture that leaves no one indifferent. The Port of the Moon has been declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco.

The city was called Sleeping Beauty by apathy showing his monuments. Currently this circumstance has changed and Bordeaux is a booming city that shows an image of lively and cheerful whose monuments and urban center have been put in value.

Most visitors agree on lively and relaxed atmosphere of the city. Here you can find pleasure as well as tranquility. The streets tend to show a lively and animated which also contributes the urban landscape full of gardens and flowers (if the rain lets appreciate).

Bordeaux is one of the most important university centers of France and the most important in the area, after Toulouse.

The foreign university parties are often held in private houses. Still, this is a good city for a party cum (there is enough nightlife through the streets). Yet we must not forget that the local time Bordelenses night is not the same as in other countries such as Spain. But if you're Spanish, do not worry, I'm sure you'll find a place to take a few more drinks.

In tourism couple or to make a plan quieter, you will have many possibilities. You can have a good time in a cafe or in a pub enjoying this city and his wines.

As for prices, depend the origin of each, but generally Bordeaux is not more expensive than other cities of France. Perhaps, for Spanish, have a coffee or go to a restaurant in Bordeaux is expensive, but nothing compared to countries like Finland or Austria.

On transport, Bordeaux is sufficiently equipped, both by bus and by tram lines, widely used in the city. Also the price of the bonds is fairly cheap, around 16 euros per month. There are night bus lines for those who like to sleep later.

I do not want to give too much information (not saturate) but I'll make a list of places to visit that we will detail in another post:

(Well, you have here to begin with ...)

As if all of this were not enough, the setting of Bordeaux, as I have said, offers a wide range of possibilities, of which we highlight, by popular acclaim, these three inescapable. If anyone thinks we should include some more, let me know!

I have talked to many people who have visited the city and  also peaple who have lived there and, honestly, I have not found who does not want to return.

Papeleo antes de salir / Paperwork before leaving

En primer lugar desde que te dan el Erasmus debes estar muy atento a los plazos. Si vas el año entero o el primer semestre así como si vais el segundo, debeis tener en cuenta los siguientes plazos (para el año 2013/2014):

• Entre el 15 de enero y el 30 de abril: debeis completar un dosier de estudiante que exige el gobierno francés para acceder a un alojamiento en residencia y donde os asignarán un número de INE. Debe hacerse desde el sitio de Le Crous donde teneis todas las indicaciones y donde, como vereis, te hacen adjuntar muchas tonterias.
• Hasta el 30 de mayo: Para enviar ese dossier de estudiante al sitio indicado en Le Crous.
• Hasta el 30 de junio: Completar el formulario online de la Universidad para inscribirte como estudiante.
• Hasta el 14 de junio / 5 de diciembre: Para enviar ese formulario a la Universidad de Bordeaux junto con el learning agreement, la petición de residencia, dni y un certificado erasmus de tu Universidad de origen.
• Antes de irte: Firmar en tu Universidad el Acuerdo de reconocimiento académico del estudiante (para las convalidaciones de las asignaturas), rellenar y entregar la solcitud de beca de la UE y de tu CCAA en tu Universidad, entregar el papel de la declaración responsable (todos estos formularios los pone a tu disposición tu oficina de relaciones internacionales), solcitar la tarjeta europea de la Seguridad Social.
• La reunión para Erasmus este año para el primer semestre en la Universidad Montesquieu Bordeaux IV es el día 10 de septiembre. (tenedlo en cuenta para la solicitud de alojamiento y los billetes de avión)

En principio estos son todos los plazos y papeles que debeis tener en cuenta, si faltara algun plazo importante, lo iré poniendo.

• Before you go: Signing the Agreement on your University student academic recognition (for validations of the subjects), complete and submit the scholarship application of the EU and your country, deliver the role of responsible statement (all these forms in international relations office), request the European Social Security.
• The meeting for Erasmus this year for the first semester at the University Montesquieu Bordeaux IV is the 10th of September. (keep that in mind for your accommodations and airline tickets)

In principle these are all terms and roles that you must keep in mind, if it lacked some important deadline, I'll post it.

En primer lugar, bienvenidos al apartado Erasmus de nuestro blog y a su primer post donde iré relatando de la mejor forma posible toda mi experiencia como estudiante Erasmus en Bordeaux.

Para facilitaros un poco el trabajo a los que vengais de Erasmus este año así como  a los que lo hagais en los próximos, he pensado dividir esta página en subsecciones tales como papeleo, alojamiento, fiestas, universidad, etc., tal como lo hacen otros blogs similares. Las encontraréis en el menú de la izquierda.

To make work easier I have thought divide this page into subsections such as paperwork, accommodation, parties, college, etc.., As do other similar blogs. You will find in the menu on the left.

En primer lugar, os coloco en antecedentes. Yo soy licenciado en Derecho por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y estudiante de la Universidad de Cádiz de Grado en Administración y Dirección de Empresas e iré a estudiar a la Université Montesquieu Bordeaux IV de Bordeaux.

First, I place myself in history. I am a law degree from the University Complutense of Madrid and I am a student of the University of Cádiz's degree in Business Administration and I will go to study at the Université Montesquieu Bordeaux IV of Bordeaux.

Todavía no he llegado a la ciudad, pero ya, a pocos meses de partir, estoy profundamente metido en ella, posiblemente porque los preparativos, papeles y cursos de francés me obligan.

I have not yet come to town, but a few months to go, I am deeply stuck in it, possibly because preparations, paper and French courses oblige me.

Por tanto, poco puedo contaros aun de la ciudad de Burdeos, pero lo que si haré en los posts sucesivos es ir narrando todos los preparativos necesarios para salir de tu ciudad/país, lo que debes tener en cuenta y lo que no, así como ofertas y otras muchas cosas que podrían interesaros.
